Hoping to follow your dream home or keep tabs on your own property’s value? Trade Me Property’s Track feature is one of the most useful property tools available for buyers, owners, and investors. Whether you’re in full property analysis mode or just casually browsing, this is a simple way to quickly gain valuable insights.

How to Track a Property

Using the Trade Me Property App

The 'Track' feature is available on the Trade Me Property app (iOS or Android). Just go to Property > Sold, search for the property address, tap into its profile, and hit ‘Track this property’. You’ll be able to access all your tracked homes in the Property section of the app.

On the Website:

  1. Log in to your Trade Me account. You'll need to be logged in to access the Track feature.
  2. Go to the Property section. Then to the Recently Sold section. This is where you’ll find off-market properties.
  3. Search for the property you want to track. Enter an address or suburb into the search bar. You can also switch to Map View if you prefer a visual layout.
  4. Click on the property. This opens the full property profile, including sales history, current estimates, and location details.
  5. Click ‘Track’. Select your level of interest in the property so we can provide you with relevant updates. Then click ‘Track’ and you’ll see a confirmation message saying ‘Tracking property’.
  6. Manage your tracked homes: Click on “My Homes” in the navigation bar to view and manage everything you’re following.

  • First-home buyers wanting to stay informed if a property is listed for sale
  • Investors monitor the growth of their investment, estimated rents and rental yield, and analyse their local market
