Living and natural pools are rising in popularity in New Zealand. Here's why.

Natural pools and living pools are gaining popularity in New Zealand as chemical-free alternatives to traditional swimming pools.

Natural pools use a plant-filled "regeneration zone" to filter water organically, creating a pond-like aesthetic. In contrast, living pools use an underground bio-filter system, offering a more conventional look without chlorine. Both provide "living water" that is gentler on skin and eyes. According to Natural Pools NZ, interest is strong, with around 50 projects completed nationwide.
