Description
Starcraft aluminium dinghy, 3 seats, 2 sets of rowlock holders, mounting for outboard, manufactured by Spedding in Auckland under license, serial number 3700, model SUPE, 12 ft long or 3.65 metres, has been used inshore in seawater, suitable lakes, estuaries, harbours. Rows very nicely, one set of wooden oars, and one spare oar.Two hull holes repaired refer photo.
Questions & Answers
Any idea how old this boat is. Also is the hull very corroded? There appears to corrosion/pitting on the front area and around the name plate. Cheers fouck (657 • 4:07 pm, Sat, 29 NovI have owned since 2010 when it was purchased second hand, so I don't have a manufacture date. I can't see corrosion on the front part, some pits could be stone chipped when trailer carried. Agree is on the rear name plate. My use was with oars only. sparrad (24 • Saturday, 29 November 2025as advised above, I placed water inside the dinghy, no leaks were found. Seller comment Monday, 1 December 2025 A buyer asked about leaks, two nail holes and a pinhole have been repaired with aluminium rivets then araldite placed onto the outer hull part of the rivet.
