Questions & Answers
Hi, interested to know more about this one. How do the two ends fasten together and how does it seal - is the joint below the water line? stevem11 (213 • 6:09 pm, Mon, 1 Dec )The two joins have mini bulkhead fibreglassed to the topsides. There are 4 cam clips at the gunwhale and you clip the sections together then there are stainless steel bolts with wing nuts 2 per each side join and in the Bottom in centre the ones s below the waterline have neoprene washers. It does NOT leak and even when we went through the rapids at karapiro we got no leaks no86 (21 • Monday, 1 December 2025 )Also, how much does each end weigh approximately? stevem11 (213 • 6:10 pm, Mon, 1 Dec )I will weigh each section in the morning ….you will be surprised how light I am a pro builder including large boats like 11m launches no86 (21 • Monday, 1 December 2025 )Oh I should have said it is very easy to assemble in the water … stern section first pop the cam clips then do the bolt to the middle section. My wife is looking for a dingy to muck around on a lakes edge. She has no rowing experience, so it will.only be on calm water. Thanks. eskimo4 (39 • 12:05 pm, Thu, 11 Dec )I’ve never tried to tip it over. As a boatie I’ve never thought it was tippy. But it is a light dinghy and the more load the more stability. It is real nice to row as you would expect no86 (21 • Thursday, 11 December 2025 )
