Description
This kayak follows a proven traditional design using a timber frame with a 12oz canvas skin, inspired by classic Eskimo and Norwegian craft. It is designed for coastal use as well as moderate rivers and lakes.
The kayak is light, responsive, and easy to stow. The comprehensive kit includes paddles and all required hardware, with paint supplied separately.
Build time is approximately 20 to 25 hours, plus finishing and paint work to suit your personal style.
Nothing beats the look of wood. This vessel makes for a great community project for schools and other organizations.

Although we try to stay with the all wood concept some find the wooden paddle a little heavy over a long distant. Perhaps worth considering.
