38ft Kauri Lanes saloon 5 berths

GRAND BANKS , is a Lanes built kauri saloon launch. She was built in 1982 and measures 38ft( including duck board) by 9 ft 10 inch beam and a 3ft 7 inch draft. The vessel is built from Kauri in the traditional method for single skin construction. Longitude planking, 1 inch thickness being copper riveted to steam bent hardwood ribs and bilge stringers and fasten to transverse sawn floors and structural bulkhead. Decks are plywood on beams. External deck and cabin top surfaces are fibreglass sheathed. The Deadwood is bolted externally with bronze bolts. Accommodation consists of a four berth cabin which is adjacent to a bulkhead anchor cable locker, has storage beneath the lower berths . The bridge deck saloon has the steering and control console with Helmsman seats to Port with sliding side door opposite helm, seats to starboard with lockers and access to the deck by sliding door.
