Hello. The Honda BF 150 has a Eco range that allows for economic consumption from 4300 rpm. We tend to travel sround 4500- 4800rpm and depending on sea conditions you avg 1.1 - 1.2 L/ NM speed again depending sea conditions and can use trim tabs to assist you're sitting around the 22 - 26 knots kiwi.irv (2) • Sunday, 18 January 2026

Actually never fully opened her up. Being an A grade mechanic prefer to look after any engine I have ...but she def can get up and go and has really good fuel consumption speed and mileage kiwi.irv (2) • Sunday, 18 January 2026

Really? You’ve never had her at WOT? I’m a diesel fitter myself, and there’s nothing wrong going WOT for a split second at times. Personal preference...Honda BF150 is an excellent power to weight with great fuel economy. 4 blokes with fishing gear and 70 /90 ltr Icey -tek no prob.. 2 blokes gone to Barrier for 2 days - live aboard with overnight covers cookers full fuel, food, Icey -teks goes brilliantly. Exceptionally smooth at low rev trolling has Honda low rev rpm switch fitted allowing easy throttle control kiwi.irv (2) • Sunday, 18 January 2026
