2006 Kingfisher 6.5m (6.8m)

This 2006 Kingfisher 6.5m is a beautifully set-up and extremely capable offshore boat that was extensively rebuilt and upgraded to as new condition in 2020. Powered by a well-maintained 2006 Mercury 225hp outboard with approximately 812 hours, it delivers excellent performance and reliability. The boat has been garaged its entire life and presents in very good condition, with only minor paint scratches consistent with normal use.

Sold as a 6.5m this is actually a 6.8m (see letter in photos) and is very spacious.

The 2020 rebuild involved a full strip-down and professional repaint, along with complete rewiring and replacement of fuel lines. The electronics package is outstanding, featuring a 1kW transducer paired with dual Simrad NSSEvo3 9-inch displays. A Minn Kota electric motor was also installed with dedicated dual batteries and charger, making this an exceptionally versatile fishing platform.

The boat is well set up for serious fishing and comfort on the water. It includes a drum winch, custom rocket launcher and clears, Fusion stereo system with amplifier and subwoofer, new upholstery, and U-Dek flooring throughout. Additional equipment includes dual batteries, high-capacity bilge pump, washdown pump and hose, electric reel plugs, and external scuba tank holders.

The package sits on a near-new 2023 GFAB aluminum trailer fitted with winch and battery box.

Optional extras available with the boat include tuna tubes and a long-range fuel tank (currently not connected).

This is a superbly sorted boat that has had significant investment over the years. If you are looking for a proven and highly capable Kingfisher that is ready to fish, this one represents outstanding value. I have invested far more in this boat than I will ever recover, so the next owner will benefit from a huge amount of work and upgrades already completed.
