Fyran 13 foot with wheels for beach launching

Owning a boat is a great New Zealand leisure activity that can also put food on the table. So, it needs to be hassle free. Which is why I built the three sets of retractable wheels for the boat, so that you can launch and retrieve it by yourself from a boat ramp or straight off the beach. Marine maintenance can be expensive. Galvanised boat trailers can rust out from the saltwater whereas this aluminum trailer does not have this problem. I have refurbished the aluminum trailer by stripping it down completely and replacing all the mild steel bolts with marine grade stainless steel bolts and marine grease. The aluminum boat hull has been refurbished by a marine aluminum specialist. The Outboard motor has not had much use and was refurbished by Kev at Kev & Ian’s marine. The outboard motor is very economical to run, as the last 6 fishing trips it only used 12 litres of petrol. I retract the 2 sets of transom mounted wheels as they create too much drag whereas the front set of wheels do not create much drag, so I leave them down.
