1984 Hamilton 141 Jet Boat Project
Description
Here’s your chance to own a proper old-school Kiwi jet boat project… this 1984 Hamilton 141 is currently in puzzle form.
Originally a complete running boat, the Ford 302 was removed for a rebuild and then apparently entered a long-term retirement programme. Has been sitting for quite some time and is definitely a project — not an operational boat unless your definition of “operational” is making engine noises with your mouth.
Specs/details:
- Hamilton 141 hull (alloy with fibreglass top)
- Hamilton 773 jet unit with nozzle steering
- Forward/reverse steering setup
- Ford 302 V8 in pieces — needs full rebuild
- Kodiak centre rise exhaust manifolds
- Edelbrock intake manifold
- Brand new Hi Torque starter motor
- Underfloor heat exchanger
- Twin rear fuel tanks
- Engine box currently just sitting in place
- Two bucket seats
- Hull looks to be in reasonable condition for the age
Trailer:
- Single axle trailer
- Currently not registered or warranted
Looks to be mostly complete and original. Would make a great restoration project for someone who knows their way around boats, engines, or simply has buckets of time and enthusiasm.
Cheap way into the jet boating world with heaps of potential. Could be turned back into a classic river weapon with some time and skill.
Sold as-is, where-is.
