Farr 940 - Simply Magic

Farr 940, ‘Simply Magic’ berthed at Gulf Harbour Marina.

Hull and deck manufactured (1989) by McDell Marine Mast and spars by Fosters, North’s sails. Launched July 1990 and has been very well maintained. She has: -a standard main, and a self-furling, self-tacking gib, all fitted new in 2016, -a storm sail & bosun’s chair -a spinnaker pole … but no spinnaker

She has: -a fixed keel with bulb -an inboard Yanmar motor (18 hp), 80L diesel tank. -Sail drive -2 new house batteries and a separate start battery -a stainless steel plough anchor (25lb, 2020) plus a second plough anchor

Navigation aids: -All correct navigation lights for both sailing and steaming (Tri-colour plus hull mounted -Depth sounder, wind instrument, log and compasses which feed into a GPS tracking system with tracking compass & self-steering equipment -a new monitor is available to be fitted -Autohelm

In the cabin: -Refreshed saloon seats and spray dodger etc. (2018), -(2017) marine VHF radio with built in GPS receiver,

• New glass windows and main hatch (2019) -Two burner (plus grill) Rinnai cooker, -Battery-powered fridge (no freezer) -Pressurized water system, including hot water tank supplying galley sink, & basin & shower in the head, -Holding tank (with electric pumps for waste-water from shower and holding tank)

It sleeps 5-6 comfortably.
