Entertaining is easy with the spacious galley and island bench. There is plenty of space for working and serving up, and a great flow from galley to outside table, so if it’s a big team you can have indoor and outdoor dining running at the same time. Both tables can seat at least six and the indoor table has special custom swivel seats off the polished stainless legs. Gem has a clean deck and functional cockpit layout with full visibility from either helm over the cabin top, which is not present in many other yachts with a raised pilot house. Both primary electric winches are placed so that they can be used to hoist the mainsail and furl the headsail making sail handling easy. There is a large forepeak for sail storage which also takes the tender and outboard, keeping the decks clear when on passages. The lazarette provides good underdeck storage and access to the steering system.
