1986 Hartley Cape 45 Sloop - $15k Starting Auction

Model - Believed to be a Hartley Cape 45 and launched in 1986. Name - Freedom Hunter. Construction Glass over Ply. Overall Length 14.7m (approx from anchor to end of swim platform). Beam 4.6m. Draft 2.6m (approx). Engine - Volvo D2-50F showing 253 hours. Solar system on rear arch (currently removed).

This boat has been in storage since at least 2021. A condition report was done in 2021 which is available for viewing upon request. The Garmin electronics appear to have been upgraded to new models about the same time. There are a couple of large Garmin MFD's and Radar etc. Engine was started during the report and noted as Good condition.

An invoice will be sent to the auction winner shortly after the auction closes on the 5th February. Full payment is to be on or before 11th February and ownership changed to the buyer on 12th February 2026. All storage Fees up to and including 12th of February will be covered by the seller.

This boat is currently stored on the hard at Half Moon Bay Marina and is ready for trucking (it was trucked here last month). The buyer will be responsible for any storage fees starting 13th February 2026. Current storage rate is $111 + GST per day (standard HMB Marina Rate).
