IBIS 32ft sailing yacht

Ibis is a 32ft sailing yacht designed and built by Alan Mummery on Waiheke Island. She is a great cruising or racing boat, with a lifting keel and highly variable sail plan. The boat was owned by the same family for over 30 years, during which time she sailed all around New Zealand including many trips across the Cook strait to tour the sounds and to the Fordland’s. More recently, in 2025, she had a large-scale interior refit, modernizing and adapting her into the perfect live-aboard.

This refit included: Repainting the interior while checking for osmosis; replacement of galley, stove, plumbing, interior finishes, mattress, sofas, electrical system, battery, 30L drawer fridge; creation of a queen-sized main bunk; Engine service.

She comes well equipped with 4 headsails, 2 spinnakers, storm sails, main sail, lazy jack bag and canvas tarp.

Ibis handles easily and would serve as a fantastic family cruiser, racer, or for a crew newer to sailing. Ibis is currently berthed in Chaffers Marina, Wellington.
