Description
Classic Kiwi keeler built by A.K.Porter Marine to a custom Paul Whiting design from three skinned heart kauri, copper riveted to big laminated frames and epoxy 'glassed over. Hull thickness 26mm - all stainless fasteners - chain plates etc - renewed over last few years. Her easily driven hull and modest rig make her a safe and quick passagemaker. 200l fuel and 300l fresh water in stainless steel tanks and she is driven by a 4JH5E (54 hp) Yanmar diesel, conscientiously maintained by marine engineer owner and low hours, through a hydraulic gearbox and three bladed Gori folding prop. She does six knots @ 1800 rpm. Three anchors : 2x CQR plus working anchor with 70m newly galvanised 10mm chain. Aries wind vane self steering. Four burner and oven stove (3x aluminium 5kg bottles) - great seagoing galley. Isotherm fridge/freezer. Sleeps 6 people in vee berth forward, single and double ( saloon table converted ) quarter cabin and quarter berth. New upholstery on saloon squabs. New stack pack mainsail cover and electric halyard winch. Lifejackets and harnesses to offshore requirements. Southern Ocean RIB/dinghy and 2hp Yamaha outboard. Doyle sails all in good condition with Profurl furler. Furuno plotter, ICOM SSB and VHF, B&G Hornet sounder. ACR 406 EPIRB. The boat has an extensive ocean cruising history and features in many magazine articles and a cruising guide.
