AMEL ketch Santorin
Description
Located in Whangarei, New Zealand
Following an extensive refit in New Zealand and only one week before resuming our circumnavigation, an unexpected knee injury has forced us to pause our sailing plans.
As a result, Arantelle is now offered for sale. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully-equipped, ocean-proven, bluewater-ready AMEL Santorin that has been continuously upgraded, meticulously maintained, and recently refitted for further world cruising.
The boat is available until the end of September. Should no suitable offer be received, Arantelle will be shipped back.
With moderate winds above 10 knots, Arantelle comfortably maintains passage speeds around 8 knots while providing exceptional comfort and security.

Questions & Answers
Beautiful Vessel, wondering age of standing rigging and engine hours please 😌 geetee7 (240 • 1:21 pm, Sat, 6 Jun )Both from origine but being controlled every year by specialists. The engine is a Perking Volvo D22LA without electronics so very reliable though inverter, alternator and sea water pump have been changed. Rigging is ACME with wide diameter and short masts being a ketch (11m and 15 m) grosben (0 • Saturday, 6 June 2026 )Also forgot, is it imported into Nz at present or does purchaser need to pay duty and gst if Nz resident? Cheers geetee7 (240 • 1:23 pm, Sat, 6 Jun )Sorry I forgot number of hours for the engine: around 5500 hours. Vat Europe paid but if the boat stays in New Zealand, yes customs said that an additional 24025$ has to be paid. grosben (0 • Saturday, 6 June 2026 )
