Shaw 750T Trailer Yacht “Deep Purple”

After 5 years of the best racing ever, it’s time for me to pass on this amazing little boat to the next thrill-seeker. Built by Craig Partridge in Kerikeri around 2011 and briefly sailed in Queenstown but stored for many years until I purchased her sight-unseen during Covid lockdown 2020. Since then, I have continually updated her. She sails beautifully with no vices, Complete control always with lifelines, 300kg bulb on the keel and structurally sound to keep you safe and enable you to push her to the limit. In the 5 years we have won or been at the forefront in every event we have entered

• 2020 and 2021 Allan Civil Classic Rotoiti on line
• 2021 and 2024 Bay Week Line Honours in division (against 30-40 footers)
• 2025 Matariki Classic Wellington Overall Line Honours across all divisions.
• 2022 SSANZ Series unbeaten line honours in division up to 35 foot
• 2022 Line honours and 2024 the double in Gulf Classic Waikato Yacht Squadron. She’s light to tow and easy to launch with an extended drawbar trailer that has plenty of life left. Sails

• #1 and #2 jibs only 2 years old and in excellent condition
• Original #1 and #2 jibs still useable
• 2 masthead gennakers in okay condition but could do with a tidy up.
• ¾ Gennaker in good condition
• Masthead code0 on furler
• Fractional code0 on furler, used once
• Storm jib, new but wlll need a change of set up. Motors fine with 2.5hp Suzuki 4-stroke and becomes a powerboat with its 6hp Suzuki 4-stroke. The motors are by negotiation. I may want to keep one or both. To race as a trailer yacht you will need a 6.2hp or over (we borrow one for trailer yacht events) Depth/speed instruments with small battery. All hardware Harken and in excellent condition Selling because it’s time. We have achieved everything we wanted to do in this beautiful yacht. It’s time to let someone else have a go.
