Description
It is time for High Flyer III to have a new Family to take her on more Adventures. Our Family of 5 have been on many multiday trips on Lake Taupo (“home base”),and a bit further north to Lakes Rotoiti and Tarawera, sailed from Auckland around the Hauraki Gulf & over to Great Barrier Island, sailed from Whitianga to the Mercury Islands, sailed from Russell around the Bay of Islands, from Wellington across Cook Strait to the Marlborough Sounds. Flyer sleeps 6 in 2 double berths (the forward one can sleep 3 children) and 2 single berths. She has a gas cooker with a grill and the upholstery has just been recovered (has been used once and looks great!) so you can camp on board in style! Sail wardrobe: new main (old one still usable). Large gib was new when we bought the boat (?2002) and is called “Crunch”, a smaller gib and a storm gib. A spinnaker & all gear required for that is also inc. 15HP Honda outboard- regularly serviced and well maintained- ~10yrs old Centreboard/Swing Keel mechanics replaced about 4 yrs ago Back stay replaced All Main and Genoa halyards and lines replaced 4 yrs ago Some gelcoat cracking and chips I the fibreglass – cosmetic only- boat has had a Tarpaulin over it when on the hard to protect from UV.
