Monarch 17
Description
Monarch 17 Trailer with Reg & WOF, professionally rebuilt in 2022 with new wheels, axles, and tyres, bearings replaced 2025 for most recent warrant.
2022 refit with all new rigging, new chain plates, new sheets, block, and halyards, new Danforth, chain and anchor rope, new nav lights fitted, new squabs made from kids mattresses from the Warehouse cut to shape.
Main sail and jib made in late 1980s but in unused condition in 2022, still in very good condition.
Full surround pulpit taken off another Monarch wrecked for parts. Also added original hatch, original tiller.
I picked her up in Evans Bay in Wellington post covid for something to learn on, stripped a wreck for parts, then relocated her to the Bay of Islands for two summers of sailing adventures. Work is now taking me to live overseas for an extended period so will be happy to pass her on to someone else to enjoy.
Easy for single handed launching and sailing, great for kids to learn on.
This early version of the Monarch had no built in portable loo, and has the centre pole instead of the later arched roof support.

Hi there. Windsong looks like a nice little boat. Do you have any pics of the interior and does it come with an outboard? Thanks conways (39 • 10:42 am, Tue, 3 Feb )There is a good condition Mercury 3 that I can include, for a little extra. I'll add some pics this evening of the interior. The original cabinetry has been removed, and the ceiling liner scrapped off ready for new lining. The role of new lining is included, I was missing a second pair of hands and another few weeks of holiday to get it installed. humptydumpt (1 • Tuesday, 3 February 2026 )What is the beam width murray240 (17 • 11:54 am, Tue, 3 Feb )7.15 feet humptydumpt (1 • Tuesday, 3 February 2026 )roll not role of new liner Seller comment Tuesday, 3 February 2026
