MAN 11.230 Coach

Description

1994 MAN coach with 37 passenger seats. Mainly been used for cruise ship tours around Dunedin. Regularly serviced and in fairly tidy condition. The front has been rebuilt at some point so it looks more 2000’s than 1990s. Current rego and COF. Other info of the stickers in the pictures.

Why this one as opposed to the other similar age MAN’s on here? This has the 230hp motor not the 180hp motor and this makes a big difference going up hills, believe me.

Dimensions Length: 9.70. External height 3.10 to roof (probably an extra 40cm for aircon unit at the back.) Internal height: 1.90. Width internal 2.40.

Feel free to view and have a drive. Can deliver if need be.

Questions & Answers

  • Hi what are seats like under covers thanks racer13 (87) • 2:07 pm, Wed, 8 Apr They are useable but not wonderful which is why I have covers on. ruthford (120) • Wednesday, 8 April 2026
  • Is there service history and do you know how many kz on the motor? franchise01 (129) • 3:25 pm, Sat, 11 Apr Yes, it has been regularly serviced by CVC. Before that it was based in Auckland taking Korean tourists. Don’t know how many k’s on the motor specifically but no problems with the motor that I know of. I got the ABS brakes working again after they disconnected them in Auckland. ruthford (120) • Saturday, 11 April 2026
  • Any engine or trans work been done that you know of? franchise01 (129) • 5:18 pm, Sat, 11 Apr It has never needed any major work like that that I can think of. The alternator was replaced a while back. What I might do is ask CVC to put together a list of everything they have done on the bus. ruthford (120) • Saturday, 11 April 2026
  • Is it a steel or alloy body ciav1 (224) • 10:59 pm, Mon, 13 Apr Alloy - doesn't rust! ruthford (120) • Monday, 13 April 2026
  • alloy body but is it also alloy framed thanks twekthecat (307) • 12:22 pm, Tue, 21 Apr I don't know the exact composition of all the parts of the bus. It is made of aluminum, steel and fiberglass. You can inspect to work out which bits are which. ruthford (120) • Tuesday, 21 April 2026
  • Hi, can't quite tell, is it a flat floor? And are they seat belt parts hanging over some of the seats? What's the height from floor to ceiling inside please? Thanks budgetbird1 (674) • 9:55 pm, Sat, 25 Apr Yes it is flat and they are seatbelts. I will have to tell you the height later but probably about 2 meters. I’m 185cm and it’s higher than me. ruthford (120) • Saturday, 25 April 2026
  • Thank you. Are there any 3 point belts? And just checking, it is 11 odd metres long? Thanks budgetbird1 (674) • 10:00 pm, Sat, 25 Apr They are lap belts. Actually, legally it doesn’t need belts at all! I will have to check on the length but I will do that in the next few days. ruthford (120) • Saturday, 25 April 2026
  • Thank you 🙂 budgetbird1 (674) • 10:03 pm, Sat, 25 Apr
