– When using this Jack to lift timber joists or bearers, make sure you place a metal plate under the timber to spread the load. Single point loading of on structural timber members can cause them to splinter and split.

– Always use backup safety mechanims when lifting anything!! For example, car stands, concrete blocks or cris-cross stacked timber “dollies” greatly reduces the risk of having things land on you while working underneath.

– Always place the Jack on a flat, stable and solid surface. If trying to lift something off the ground, place a timber block, paver or similar underneath to evenly distribute the load and not force the jack into the ground.
