2013 Bailey Orion 400/2 – Lightweight 2-Berth Caravan
Tidy caravan suitable for couples or solo travellers. Super lightweight (950kgs) and easy to tow. Can be moved on a concrete floor by one person.
Features:
2 x 200w solar panels on the roof
700w inverter - sufficient for charging e-bike battery and running a workstation with 2 screens. Power point installed connected to inverter. Flick the switch to turn the inverter on, and the power point is live.
MMPT solar charge controller - enables you to very easily see how full the battery is and how much power is coming in and out.
Century Deep Cycle AGM battery purchased October 2025
Bed with several options. Can use as 2 singles, pull out to be a large double, or partway to have a smaller bed but 2 seats at the end.
Also has a spare squab that I had made of a firmer foam to enable a more supported work seat.
On board water and wastewater tanks. When arriving at a camp site the only setup required is to lower the stabilisers and turn on the gas if needed.
Kitchen with gas hob, oven/grill, fridge (12Vdc, gas or 230Vac), and microwave.
Bathroom with separate shower, toilet and hand basin.
