2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce
Background check
This vehicle was imported into New Zealand with obvious damage or deterioration. This alert will not appear if the vehicle had superficial dents to some of its body panels.
Description
2017 Alfa Romeo.
Runs ok but due for a warrant in May but has some faults listed below. None are major.
Has been a great car for the last 5 years for me but the family is getting bigger and is no longer suitable.
Needs:
New windscreen
Rear tyres reaching end of life (might get 6 more months but may not pass warrant).
Has very intermittent fault where car runs hot (not over heating) but then moves into the non turbo mode. Still remains useable but turbo not active. Currently stuck in blue mode but still use it daily.
Vehicle was imported from australia in 2020 with hail damage and repaired prior to me buying at 41,000kms. No real visible hail damage except on one window strut.
Dash has some sun damage and shrinking as per photo.
Could be a fun car for the next few years for someone mechanically minded or could be a parts car.
Selling “as is where is”.
Everything else stock standard

Hi Grant, nice example. Could you put up some photos of the interior? green.frog (84 • 3:26 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Hi mate - can’t upload for some reason as I think it is due to the listing having a bid. Can I email them to you? Cheers grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Interior photos are now updated on listing. Thanks Seller comment Friday, 3 April 2026 Hi, what fault codes re stuck in blue mode… have you had a euro specialist advice on what is causing it ? Beautiful car…. nelsonbays99 (965 • 3:52 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Hey mate. It is a cooling issue. Seems to be related to the Turbo line. It has had the seals replaced and still does it around every 4 weeks (goes back to the blue mode). My mechanic has had several goes and can’t seem to fix it. grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Hi, gave you gad the Alfa scanned for any fault codes? Thanks oysterfarm (189 • 4:15 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Hi there. Nothing coming up on the scanner. Haven’t checked this latest time however as I am upgrading to a new Audi so not keen to put any more money into it. Thanks grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Sweet car mate. ham22 (2864 • 4:16 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Thanks mate. Sad to see her go but time for an upgrade grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Thanks, it could be a few things, but a good Alfa mechanic should be able to diagnose…. Normally it’s not advisable to drive in blue mode, with turbo not functioning…. Cheers nelsonbays99 (965 • 4:17 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Thanks. Yea has only been like that for a week or so cheers grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Any buy now price in mind or just letting the auction run? Thanks. joshp23 (1 • 5:36 pm, Fri, 3 Apr )Hi mate. Had it appraised at $13k for a trade in late last year but that was before the windscreen crack and the intermittent fault. Would consider a buy now but it would have to be decent. Cheers grant252 (69 • Friday, 3 April 2026 )Hey mate, apologies if you can delete my last bid. Thanks grant252 (69 • Monday, 6 April 2026 )So you've replaced the turbo waste gate arm.....? wicked8 (14 • 4:15 pm, Mon, 6 Apr )Hi mate, thanks for the extra info in the Q&A. Just wondering if the intermittent cooling/blue mode issue has been assessed by an Alfa or Euro specialist, or only your regular mechanic so far? If easier, happy to chat further by email if you’re comfortable sharing one. Cheers xsebastiano25 (4 • 5:20 pm, Mon, 6 Apr )Hey mate - yes it went into Alfa Northshore (sims) where it had a new oil cooler and radiator. This intermittent issue happened very 6-12 weeks on average. Normally you could reset the system via the quick disconnect battery terminal but this time it didn’t go back to normal. Still being driven in the blue mode but needs to be re assessed. Cheers grant252 (69 • Monday, 6 April 2026 )Hi mate, thanks for the detail, really appreciate it. Sounds like it’s been a bit of an ongoing one. If you’re comfortable, would you be able to share an email? I’d be keen to see any invoices or notes from Alfa North Shore around what’s been done and what they found, just so I can get a clearer picture. Cheers xsebastiano25 (4 • 6:23 am, Tue, 7 Apr )
