2004 Audi A3 Fsi manual
Background check
Description
I have had this car for just over 1 year, learning to drive in it.
5 owners NZ new 171XXX km (will go up as it will be used) Wof: 11/03/27 Reg: 13/03/26
Pros: had a full Audi service in Jan last year, which had everything wrong with it fixed (I have the receipt). Has plenty of tread on the rear tyres, and the fronts are basically new. Very easy manual to drive, very light, easy-to-use clutch, perfect for a learner driver or someone new to a manual. The 2L engine has plenty of power (150hp). The spare tyre is complete with all of the tools. The backbox has been cut out for a bit more of a fruity sound, but does not drone and isn't very loud (replaced with a titanium pipe with tips; the last owner did that. He showed a receipt for around $1300). Otherwise, the car is completely un-modified. Cam belt done at 100,000kms. I can provide a google sheet that contains what I've done to it as per below, with all the dates. The gearbox is nice and smooth. It has a 5-star safety rating and very good fuel economy.
Things done in my ownership:
- New left CV joint
- New driver's side marker light
- New boot unlatch solenoid
- New driver's side seat belt buckle
- New battery
- New spark plugs
- New indicator stalk
- New wiper blades
- New floor mats
- Air con re-gassed
- Pollen filter
- Brake fluid
- Along with standard oil etc.
Cons: The rear wheels need to be balanced because there's a vibration at approximately 80kph. The headlining is sagging (as pictured). Doesn't have service history beyond my ownership. Some light paint fade on the roof and bonnet (as pictured), and a few light scratches which should polish out. The wheels do have light kerbing, as I believe the last 2-3 owners have learnt to drive in it. Has a little plastic trim missing from the left wing mirror.
Overall, it is the perfect first manual, with minimal interior wear (minus the coffee stain on the driver's seat and a few of the air-con buttons being worn). Mechanically mint. Had over $2k spent on it in my ownership.
