2000 Audi TT MK1 1.8N 5 Speed Manual
This is an early generation Mk1 before the retrofit rear spoilers were added, with the softer suspension. 132kw (180HP) Front wheel drive
The previous owner has lovingly restored and spent a lot of $$ bringing the car back to excellent mechanical order and it really drives like a dream.
I have fitted mtm factory wheels with Nankang tyres 215 x 40 x 18's But will come with the original 16" wheels with near new pirelli tyres 205 x 55 x 16's as well.
I purchased this to do Sunday drives with My wife who has a black V6 model, but alas we need the driveway space, so time to pass onto another enthusiast

Questions & Answers
Hi, the car looks great and I appreciate the work done. Do you have invoices showing when (kms/date) the gearbox, clutch/SMF and timing belt were completed, and which workshop did the work? Regarding the AC, has a leak test been done to rule out evaporator issues? I understand that can involve dash removal on early Mk1 TT models. Also, has the fuel sender or cluster been tested yet? Just trying to understand potential costs before arranging a viewing — thanks. alanzz (1181 • 9:54 pm, Sat, 28 Feb )Hi I have some receipts from the previous owner but not many, all of the work was done by previous owners. The car drives amazingly for its age. I have had an ac guy come and try to regas it, which didn’t work, he did some further investigation but not definitive, system scan suggested changing the high pressure valve which was done but no change. LCD has been repaired, fuel gauge sender needs cleaning or replacing as dash doesn’t read reliably, call for more info cheers Keri keriring (840 • Saturday, 28 February 2026 )Hi, thanks for the info. Just checking — since the AC has been re-gassed and the high pressure valve replaced with no change, has an evaporator or expansion valve issue been ruled out? I understand that can involve dash removal on early Mk1 TT models. Also do you know roughly at what kms the gearbox/clutch work was done, and whether the gearbox was new or rebuilt? Thanks. alanzz (1181 • 10:22 pm, Sat, 28 Feb )You are beat to make your own investigations re AC I don’t know any more than as above. I was told the gearbox was new but don’t have the paperwork to verify, I was told I could verify it with the garage who did the work but haven’t bothered. At the end of the day it’s a low value car which drives really well, so I have just taken the previous sellers word for it. It could have been rebuilt I suppose, I don’t know why this would have been necessary as such low mileage cheers keriring (840 • Saturday, 28 February 2026 )Hello , nice looking TT I see on carjam the car suffered Structural damage a couple of years ago. Can you elaborate what repairs were carried out . Thank you. nelsonbays99 (965 • 2:23 am, Sun, 8 Mar )Hi, I don’t have any information on the panel rebuild process, I bought the car sight unseen based on the description, it is fully compliant so assume it’s been through a proper recertification process. It drives beautifully. You are welcome to inspect cheers keriring (840 • Sunday, 8 March 2026 )Hi, how long have you owned it? If no receipts, do you have any records showing when and where the work was done? Cheers 10x30 (84 • 8:14 pm, Tue, 24 Mar )Hi - have owned it a few months, I don't have receipts but can put you in touch with previous owner. Cheers keriring (840 • Tuesday, 24 March 2026 )
