Questions & Answers

  • Update! The heater is disconnected I did not know this as I’ve never used it. I probably have the parts. Please note this car is original unrestored condition it has minor imperfections but is in incredible original condition for a 50 year old. Seller comment Sunday, 23 November 2025
  • Do you have any better photos of the seats you can post. The ones currently posted are quite blurry. carbloke44 (19) • 6:51 pm, Mon, 24 Nov Yes I’ll post them now, Henny has been out today so excuse the leaf litter totallyrandom (291) • Monday, 24 November 2025
  • Do you have the heated rear windscreen, the switch is there on the right below the steering wheel. 802 (149) • 7:37 pm, Mon, 24 Nov Yes the heated rear windscreen is in the parts tranche along with a front screen, 4 doors a boot and lots of mechanical and trim pieces. If it sells for buy now this is all included otherwise the parts will be offered for $500 first option to purchaser. This is how I inherited the parts also totallyrandom (291) • Monday, 24 November 2025
  • Ah, good point 802. I am wondering why the heated screen is not fitted to the car but in the parts bin. I am assuming the car has been repainted at some point and the wrong screen was fitted. carbloke44 (19) • 8:24 pm, Mon, 24 Nov Yes the previous owner told me that the original owner had repaired the rear screen and boot lid after something fell on it. I don’t know if this was associated with the quakes or not totallyrandom (291) • Monday, 24 November 2025
  • Ok, so just to be clear, you say that in the cars parts bin you have 4 doors a boot lid and a rear screen. Do I assume all these items were replaced by the original owner and car repainted? carbloke44 (19) • 10:21 pm, Mon, 24 Nov Hi, no. The only repainted part is the boot lid, the original boot lid comes with the car and has a small dent it from something falling from a ceiling and onto the rear screen and boot lid. The 4 doors have been acquired as spares simply because they’re in the same colour. The boot lid aside the rest of the car is totally factory original right down to the paint pen batch number in the engine bay. totallyrandom (291) • Monday, 24 November 2025
  • Thanks for answering. Just a FYI, I owned the car for nearly 20 years and accumulated all those parts, but just never got around to fitting the heated rear window (came from a UK 1300 that I dismantled). The heater stopped working when the dash was removed by auto electrician to fix a voltage controller for the fuel and temp gauge, I think you’ll find there’s no 12v power supply to the fan motor switch. Cylinder head tap worked when I owned it, just fan motor didn’t. HTH. 802 (149) • 6:28 am, Tue, 25 Nov Hi 👋 thank you so much for the history! That’s really helpful to pass onto future keepers. I’d never used Henrietta in the rain so didn’t known about the heater. only time she’s had a bird bath is the occasional hand wash totallyrandom (291) • Tuesday, 25 November 2025
