Very rare South African assembled Austin Apache. Presumed to be the only one in NZ.
Generally sound condition but minor rust spots on paint and rear bumper needs repairs - its a Triumph 2000 Mk1 bumper I think. Cloth in seats need repairing but the vinyl and door panels are fine. Crack in dash top but its a standard 1300 one. There is a small rust hole in the bottom of the boot.
Sort of drives OK - engine can smoke sometimes possibly from sitting - and a new set of piston rings comes with it. Gearbox seems fine and brakes work. The usual rattles. Lights all work - rear ones are Triumph 2000 Mk2.
Most parts as Austin 1300 so a easy classic to own despite the unique appearance. Lots of fun as most people never knew they were made! The original South African papers and UK export papers are there - and NZ papers. Reg dead but still in the system. Lived in the UK for about a year on its way to NZ. Same lady owned it most of the time.
