A very Rare Barn find: 93 year old car Seldom seen on any trade or auction sites world wide. A very Rare Baby Austin R.M.7 Model year: 1931 first registered in NZ Jan 18th 1932 in Manurewa Auckland 2 Door saloon Odometer reads: 7503 Miles Fuel: Petrol Chassis No: B44920 Engine no: M142312 Body No: R.M.9588 Engine size: 750cc Transmission: Manual Width: 48inches=4ft or 122cm Length: 106 inches=8ft or 269/270 cm Seats: 2 front bucket and 1 full rear all in cloth Inside lining material The R.M was in production for 1 year only Jan 1931 to Feb 1932- very few exist today and those that are available, fetch high prices when restored. Listed in the ( Members of Austin Register NZ ) as a 1931 saloon back in 1968. it was placed second in a Rally that year. I have owned this car since 1969. I have original ownership papers. plus lots more papers. from different owners. Has all original gauges This is a very solid car. Inside floor is solid. It has some rust which is expected for the age of the vehicle mostly surface all repairable. Rust on the roof front r/h side needs work. Has original Crank. Motor turns over. But not running will need work. R.M.s have coupled brakes ( 8" scuttle ) 25.1/2 inch bonnet Lucas Graves twin filament headlamps and R.M. type front wings Note: Not currently Registerd.
