Description

1933/34 Austing 7 Box Saloon Project.

First registered in January 1934 (NZ new) and looks like last wof was in 1974.

I purchased this as a project earlier last year but have realised that I purchased on a whim and have probably bitten off more than I can chew. Better to go to someone who can complete it or build a special.

This was purchased by the previous owner as a project for his Dad in 1981. Considerable restoration work has been done in the years following until his Dad passed away and the car was then stored for many years until I purchased it last year.

Much of the body work has been done (some parts of the floor replaced etc, panel beating and filling) but would certainly need more work to finish.

Woodwork done with much of it being replaced from what I can see.

Engine striped and rebuilt. There are reciepts for pistons, rebore etc). Has been stored indoors and turned over regularly.

6 powder coated wheels and 4 of the tyres are as new. Chassis etc cleaned down and painted.

Very good windscreen and surround which I believe are hard to find (purchased by the previous owner separately).

New parts include a replacement wiring loom, muffler, running board rubbers and brake cables.

It looks like all parts are there except the front seats and the rear seat base, but I cant guarantee that.

Would be a reasonably straight forward restoration or perhaps an ideal base to build an Austin 7 Special.

The photo of the car fully assembles was taken when it was purchased in back 1981.

The body and parts are currently stored away (as you can see) so ability to get more photos of the body is limited but the photos attached should give you a good idea of its condition.
