1973 Austin Mini Classic Mini
Description
1973 Austin Mini
(Christchurch)
Initially run with dual HS2 carb setup, upgraded to Stage 1 (exhaust/headers) and Single HIF-44 carb. Was a great runner in this setup, but wanted a new project, so decided to build a low-boost, relaiable street mini with disc brakes. Currently turbo w/EFI (6 psi boost). Very reliable smooth mini for around town and road trips (not tuned/built for max power etc). Starts and runs great from cold, very usealbe and noticiable power increase over stock 1275. Easy transit up and over Arthur's Pass or effortless acceleration from 80-120 kph for passing etc. (dyno tuned by Flame Automotive in Christchurch- approx 100 hp/ 120 ft-lbs trq) Interior includes refeshed, seats, carpet, headliner, dash, instruments, stereo w/bluetooth, etc in vintage looking headunit Still have everything to return car to dual or single carb, w/multiple needle sizes, as well as KAD short shift kit (I preferred the original shifter feel). Will come with car. All modifications LVV certified.
