Description
1980 Austin Mini 1000. This is a classic imported model with the iconic 998cc engine and manual gearbox that these cars are known for.
It's been around the block and has had multiple previous owners in New Zealand. While it's got character and the core of a great little classic, it does need work to get it back to its best. I'm being honest about its condition - it's not a ready-to-drive car, but more of a project or restoration opportunity for someone who knows their way around older vehicles.
Cons: missing alternator , right front brake hose is collapsed , the bonnet doesn't fit as it's for a mk1 not a mk4 , the doors are rough as well as the whole car.
Pros: It has a fully rebuilt 1000 a+ engine with wiseco pistons , ARP hardware , electronic ignition and a bigger carb off a 1300. Also has 4 brand new 1inch spaced brake drums , a rust free 7.5 gallon fuel tank with a brand new sending unit , all the rust has been patched , has all the glass but needs rear window seal , and super rare 10x8 triwindow steel wheels along with original 10 inch steelies and hub caps.
