1972 Austin Mini 1275.
Excellent condition inside and out.
A fun drive.
WOF to Feb 2027 Rego to Aug 2026
Originally built as an 850 and had the engine replaced with the 1275 at some point. I believe the engine is from a Morris 1300GT.
Five long term owners & I have owned it for six years.
Repainted, still original colour and no rust.
Has a 12g 1805 head & larger radiator.
Engine & suspension modifications certified.
Modifications: – Cam shaft - I don’t know model or valve timing, but has a 0.375 inch lift, 4 spider diff, heavy duty clutch, lightened flywheel & new ring gear. Central engine oil pickup. Cooper S disk brakes & spaced out rear drums. Adjustable front & rear suspension. Twin 1 ½ inch SU carbs. Electronic points. SU electric fuel pump. Tapered roller rear wheel bearings. LCB exhaust.
Replaced: rear wheel cylinders, clutch & brake master cylinders, inner & outer CV joints, HT leads & coil, oil pump, steering rack with fast rack & new tie rod ends, radiator hoses & cap, timing chain (Duplex), shock absorbers.
Overhauled: both carbs, radiator, starter motor, gear box.
