1956 Austin Special DS7 (Princess MkIV)

NZ is fortunate to have retained many English (valuable) classic cars imported in the early 1950's during the wool boom era, e.g. Alvis, Gordon Keeble, Bristol, Jensen etc. Part of NZ motoring history & one of only two such cars imported new into NZ by NZMC (both registered in Auckland at the same time), for sale this rare 1956 Pre- production (No. 17) DS7 Austin Princess saloon. The other DS7 now resides in Australia (along with their own only imported DS7). This history of this car is known & it has always been garaged & has genuine low miles. The registration No. is still on NZTA records registered in my name. There is no rust in the chassis or body & it has twin exhaust & good tires all round. Chromework has been refreshed & the paint need refreshing in places. Only minor mechanical work needs doing to be out on the road e.g. master cylinder & power booster recconditioning (have kits) -however needs ignition coil replacing (have spare) & also has a new large battery with good engine (refreshed many years ago). Engine bay has been refreshed & water heater fan needs reinstalling. Leather is dry & also needs refreshing along with floor carpet. Car is to be sold "as is" with no Rego or WOF & will come with workshop manual, parts book & "spare" DS7 licence built "Rolls" auto gearbox, & any other spare parts. It is one of only about a dozen production cars still left in the world running. New house build dictates that I must sell.
