Description

Selling my beloved BMW 340i.

This muscular looking performance orientated wagon is the best of both worlds. Comfortable as a daily with great practicality combined with being plenty quick and exciting when you want it to be. It has a wonderful sounding engine and exhaust that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. This generation sounds exponentially better than the generations that follow due to more restrictive European emissions standards.

It has the celebrated B58 engine and ZF8 speed transmission. It has never been tuned apart from when the M-Perf pack was installed prior to being sold new in NZ.

The M-Perf pack of this generation is the one to have:

  • Upgraded wheels
  • Upgraded brakes
  • Upgraded exhaust
  • Carbon mirror caps
  • Factory tune

Other: Adaptive M Suspension Apple Carplay (widescreen)

I managed to obtain M3 front seats (and matching door cards) which really set off the car. They are very hard to come by at a reasonable price. They bolt straight in, are fully functional (incl heating) and you will not want the original seats (which I have) once you have seen/sat in them. Added bonus is adjustable lumbar which trust me you want.

I bought it from CC BMW at 44,000km and it has only been serviced there during my ownership. Prior to that it was serviced at AKL City BMW.

This particular car started it's life as a press car so has almost every option . It can even parallel park itself which helps to keep your wheels looking good.

Here is a review from Autocar of this actual car (notice the number plate). https://www.autocar.co.nz/bmw-340i-m-performance-touring/

I have looked after this car like it was one of my own and it's overall condition shows.

I will genuinely miss this car when it goes. It's been such a fun and satisfying car to own.

This isn't a fire sale so no stupid offers please

Questions & Answers

  • Hi, just saying, I have a NZ new 340i sedan, 2016, love it, as you say very hard to find, I was thinking to up date it to the touring but a must have is the HUD and adj suspension which I love to drive, good luck with your sale, cheers shaz309 (237) • 10:54 am, Wed, 8 Oct Do you mean Adaptive M Suspension? This car has that. I'm not aware of any other adj suspension option. You can use Vin Decoder to see what options a bmw has - use carjam to get the vin. I've had bmw HUD before. While I can see the attraction, I just prefer a nice analogue cluster. slyperry (95) • Wednesday, 8 October 2025
