2009 BMW 740i

Very hard to put in words, but this is literally the best car I've ever owned.

I change cars quite often, but this E65 somehow remained with me the longest, more than 5 years now. This car changes your perception on any other cars, regardless if they're brand new or old turds. I literally gave up brand new cars after one year, and kept this, just how good it is.

Throughout the years I've put some extensive effort working on it, and I swapped all seals known to leak. So it had done:

• Valve stem seals
• Alternator Oil cooler bracket seals
• Camshaft sensors seals
• Valve covers head gaskets
• Water transfer pipe
• Water pump
• and many others.

I have extensive service notes (over 10 pages, with all the OEM part numbers I've used, and any required details, plus hundreds of pics and videos).

I've swapped all the interior bits that were worn, scratched, or broken, including: dashboard, door panels, driver seat, iDrive and instrument cluster glass, buttons, removed old telephone to create new drawer, sunroof seal, rear windshield seal, air vents, rear quarter lights, reupholstered headliner, and many others I'm forgetting right now.

Drives like a dream, is the ultimate cruiser, sporty enough for any NZ road, but comfy enough to drive hundreds of kms in one go, and don't feel a thing. The cooled and heated seats work excellent, and they are more comfortable than the seats in the 2017 BMW 7 series (I have both, so I'm not just bragging). The HiFi system in this is also better than the Harman Kardon in the BMW G11/G12 series!

Options like Cruise Control, Automatic Wipers, Automatic Xenon Headlights, and many other expected things are obviously standard.

The rear automatic window shades for both the rear windshield and the rear doors are pretty unique, and probably something reserved for Mercedes S-Class, Jaguar XJ, Audi A8, and the 7 Series (besides Bentley and Rolls Royce). It's just that much on top of everything else.

This car is something that need to be experienced.
