2016 BMW i3 REx

An amazing condition, low mileage (72,000km) BMW i3 REx imported from Japan in 2025. Highly optioned with Japanese CHAdeMO fast charging (same as Nissan Leaf), making it one of the better-speced i3s in NZ.

Only around $40 per 1000km to drive (RUC Cost) excluding registration/electricity costs, making it a very economical premium daily. The 180hp electric motor and lightweight aluminium/carbon fibre construction give it surprisingly quick performance (0-100km/h in around 6.5s) with instant EV torque sent to the rear wheels.

Recently fitted with brand new rear tyres from BMW costing around $1000 for the pair. Body is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or rust apart from a very small curb mark on the front left rim.

Real-world range is around 90-110km EV depending on driving conditions. With the petrol range extender you can travel around 200-250km combined range on a full battery and tank. Great for avoiding range anxiety, as the petrol engine maintains battery charge while driving if needed. Fast charging takes around 25 mins to 80%.
