1973 Chrysler Valiant Charger
Background check
Description
After leaving Todd Motors Petone in 1973 this car in the original Sherwood Green colour was sold in Darfield and kept in the South Island. After several owners the car was owned by the same person for 25 years. After this it was sold to us by a reputable Christchurch muscle car dealership and driven north to the Waikato. Garaged since then, there’s been regular maintenance, air horns added (Dukes of Hazard!), immobiliser and blue tooth music player installed. Mechanically sound, the radiator has been flushed, thermostat and water pump replaced and most gaskets replaced. All by an experienced Mopar loving mechanic who really rates this car, telling me it’s one of the best examples he’s seen. During our ownership the car has always been reliable with all the work being done as preventative. Apart from this work, the car remains in original condition with the original black number plates, original iconic fish scale dash, original 3 spoke steering wheel with genuine working gauges and original interior. The car drives really smoothly and doesn’t rattle and shake down the road, it’s a real head turner and a great conversation starter. It’s so much fun to drive, it’s impossible not to smile whilst driving this authentic cool classic coupe!
