Looking for a classic sedan? This 1964 Chrysler Valiant is a well-maintained piece of motoring history that's ready for its next chapter. Alexandra, South Island car, NZ assembled in Petone, Was a barn find when I bought it and put it through recompliance with original black plates, a very original car, have original rims with near new tyres. 3.7-litre petrol engine that delivers a solid, old-school driving experience. Being a '64, it's got that classic design and build quality that Valiants were known for - sturdy, dependable, and with plenty of character.
The car is in very good condition overall, which is impressive for a vehicle of this age. It's been looked after by its three New Zealand owners, and it shows. The engine runs well, and the drivetrain feels solid.
With seating for the whole family, this Valiant offers a practical layout that was typical of family sedans from the era. It's a genuine classic that's still very usable, whether you're after a weekend cruiser or something with a bit of nostalgia.
If you're interested in classic cars or looking for something with character, this could be a good fit.

Seller comment Monday, 27 April 2026 Have you got the missing chrome for the R/hand drivers door? Is there a water leak as the lining looks water stained. carzan (269 • 6:34 pm, Tue, 28 Apr )No I haven't got the chrome for the drivers door, if I did it would be on. The roof lining is 62 years old, it's the original lining, I've never tried to clean it as I don't want to damage it, if you wanted to tidy it up possibly a vynal spay would suffice.
