1971 Daimler Sovereign 4.2
Background check
Description
Looking for a classic sedan? This 1971 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Series 1 is a well-regarded example of British luxury from the early 1970s. It features the 4.2-litre inline-six engine that became synonymous with refinement and smooth power delivery in its era.
This particular car is an imported model when new and I'm the third New Zealand owner. The auto gearbox suits the car's relaxed character well. It's a proper 5-seater with space inside for passengers.
The Sovereign nameplate represented Daimler's premium offering, built with attention to detail and quality materials. These cars were known for their comfortable ride and solid build quality. This one remains in good running order and presents well for its age.
If you're after a classic British sedan with presence and a bit of history, this could be worth a look. The 4.2-litre engine provides good performance while the auto makes it easy to drive around town or on longer runs.
