Looking for a robust ute? Our 2016 Dodge RAM 2500 is a reliable workhorse that offers plenty of capability. Powered by a 6.7 Litre Cummins Diesel Engine not only is it a rare find amongst the petrol Rams, but it is also great for towing and reliability. Compared to same length trips made in our 2023 Hilux, the rams fuel efficiency was surprisingly better due to the low workload on the motor.
As a family of six we needed one ute that could fit us all for long haul trips around New Zealand. Not only could it fit us all, but the spacious cabin provided comfortable leg room for all six people, and the factory sub provided unmatched sound quality on these trips.
The Ram comes fitted with a tow bar rated to 3.5 tonne, making it ready for towing jobs. With a braked towing capacity of up to 6.9 tonne with a gooseneck, the towing is superior to most utes on the market. Fitted with an exhaust brake with both Auto and Manual mode, stopping the weight is just as easy.
The large tray/canopy combo provides spacious storage, with both dust and water resistant features. The tray also fits a double mattress with fly screens covering the windows, making it a great place for a roadside rest or if you have one to many drinks.
