The Ferrari 308GTB could loosely be described as “sex on wheels”. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti for Pinninfarina this was one of a handful of absolutely stunning Ferrari and the next best to owning a Dino 246. Fioravanti designed cars are the ultimate collector and investment Ferrari. They include Dino, Daytona, 308GTB, 512BB, 288GTO, F40 – to name a few. The 308 was designed with a tube frame and separate body. The engine is 90 degree V8 with belt driven twin overhead camshafts per cylinder bank. Mounted transversely with transaxle transmission below and full synchro 5 speed manual with clutch type LSD. All independent suspension, double wishbones, coaxial coil springs, hydraulic dampers, anti-roll bars on both axles, four wheel vented disc. Unassisted rack & pinion steering. This 1977 308, understood to be first owned by the Chairman of the Ferrari Owners Club of UK, and the first RHD steel bodied, of 211 total, dry sump (more horsepower) cars delivered. Whilst not concours, this 308GTB is in excellent condition and drives beautifully. Finished in Rosso Corsa and Nero. Fitted with Original, rare, 14” Ferrari magnesium wheels – with original lettering visible. Original factory steering wheel.
