Description

Wow, This American pickup truck has just become our PROJECT VEHICLE and will be available at its refurbished completion for the amount listed.

Unfortunately, due to information received having had some tuning work done, it has a compromised Head Gasket and needs some TLC care to bring it back to its original former glory.

The standard engine for this 2003 F-150 XLT model is a V8 5.4L SOHC 2-valve design with a 4-speed automatic transmission known for reliability and solid truck performance and would take little effort to bring it back to that.

The F150 offers seating for up to 6 people, making it practical for both work crews and group transport. Being an imported vehicle, I'm the first NZ owner of this truck since new, and it's been well-maintained.

Features:

  • 5.4-litre petrol/LPG engine
  • Auto
  • 6-seater configuration
  • Spacious cabin with useful storage
  • Good for towing

This F150 is one of America's most popular trucks, known for its durability and practicality. The large truck bed is perfect for hauling cargo, and it handles rough terrain with ease. If you're looking for a dependable, well-kept pickup, this F150 is worth a look. Feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Questions & Answers

  • Hello, how often is this vehicle on dual fuel proportions? Is petrol or LPG the backup fuel? what size is the LPG tank please? cruisefm (41) • 9:14 am, Mon, 8 Dec Hi, The Petrol & LPG fuel runs the vehicle independently. The LPG tank is in the back tray and is 110 liters, good for approximately 550Kms of average motoring. We generally run the vehicle on LPG with Petrol being the backup fuel All totally controllable by the driver preference. rotorway1 (52) • Monday, 8 December 2025
  • The Pickup always starts on petrol and runs until the engine temperature reaches 20deg which is when the LPG is switched on which then becomes the primary fuel. The entire system is run by 2 individual units, linked to control Engine Management and Tuning. In both cases either fuel is injected and computer controlled ECU's. • G'day Central-tyres, Due to the lack of interest in the Do Up/Project Option for this vehicle I have decided to pull and recondition the Heads replacing the compromised Head Gaskets including upgrade replacement to the Cam Timing Gear Tensioners, Oil Pump, Water Pump, Top End Gaskets and any other component that's indicating wear & tear.
