Description
Ford Mustang 1965
A classic 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with the 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine. This iconic first-generation pony car has been imported to New Zealand and has had just one owner since arriving here. The car is in excellent condition, which is remarkable for a vehicle approaching 60 years old. Produced in the San Jose Ford factory in 1965, it was a showroom display car at Haberfield Ford in Bakersfield California for 40 years then was a trailer queen for car shows in California winning numerous awards for "Best of Show". It's the last known original Springtime Yellow Mustang remaining and is 100% original. Owners manual signed by Gale Halderman the Mustangs original designer. Original window sale sticker also included.
The 1965 model year is particularly significant as it represents the first full production year of what would become America's most famous sports car. With its long bonnet, short rear deck, and distinctive grille, it's instantly recognizable as the car that started a revolution in American automotive design.
