1995 Holden Commodore Vs Calais
Background check
Description
Looking to sell our 1995 Holden VS Calais. We have owned the car since April 2022.
It will be sold with a current WOF and registration.
Has had a fairly recent service.
Engine and transmission are in good running order with no funny noises etc present. I carried out an engine leak down test mid last year which showed very minimal leakage. Engine has an oil leak from underneath which I suspect is the sump and/or possibly rear main seal. Diff is nice and quiet.
Lowered on King Springs ultra lows with Monroe shocks front and rear. Has heavy duty sway bar links fitted too.
Running 17x8 ROH Reflex wheels and the tyres have plenty of tread.
Interior is in fairly good condition for its age and kms travelled. All lights work, cruise control etc all in working order. A/C needs a re-gas unfortunately, heater works well.
Bodywork is in okay condition, but would benefit from a respray due to clear coat peel in places. Couple bits of rust as per photos.
In our length of ownership I have replaced a lot of parts including external trims/badges, interior pieces and service/engine parts. To name a few:
-windscreen
- radiator and cap
- heater tap
- heater hoses
- radiator hoses
- thermostat
- intake valley gasket set
- spark plugs
- leads
- coils
- DFI module
- cam and crank sensors
- temp gauge and ECU temp sensors
- fuel pump and fuel filter
- external gutter trims, trims along doors under windows, front and rear badges and electric aerial. As you can see we have replaced a lot of parts, mainly chasing an intermittent shudder from the engine which I suspect was ignition related. As well as a lot of general service/maintenance items to ensure its longevity. Since then it’s been a very nice car to drive, I was daily driving it most of last year. Now it’s parked up and we’d like to see it get used more. Comes with a lot of spare parts, best to come view if interested. Any questions feel free to text or call after work hours preferably.
