2003 Holden Rodeo Sgle C/C Lx Dsl
Background check
This vehicle has been de-registered in the past and then registered again. The registration may have expired because the licence was not kept current or it may have been in an accident and written off by an insurance company.
Description
A great example of a Holden Rodeo 2003 diesel ute, this LX Single Cab has been a reliable workhorse that is in good working order. The 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with the manual gearbox is practical and performs well for a work ute. This Isuzu 4JB1-T motor is a well regarded, reliable engine with good torque low down.
It comes with a rear rack and tow bar, making it good for work and everyday use. This Ute is NZ new, it belonged to my late father and was used as his work Ute while operating an engineering/fitting and turning business.
The large tray offers plenty of space for tools or materials, and its simple mechanical design makes it easier to maintain than many newer vehicles. It is a basic model, no A/C, no central locking or electric windows.
Features include:
- 3 seats for a small crew
- Manual gearbox
- Durable 2.8L diesel engine
- Tow bar already installed
- Roof racks for extra carrying capacity
She has two new tyres on the rear, has been recently serviced, oil and filter changed. Will come with Reg, WOF and RUC’s. There is some surface rust as shown in the pics but nothing major. There was a couple of small rust holes on the passenger side of the windscreen, the windscreen has been removed, the rust has been repaired, repainted and windscreen re-fitted with new seals. Has had a new alternator and belt fitted recently. If you're looking for a simple, tough work ute that can handle rough conditions, this Rodeo is a good choice.

The rear rack is removable but the front one is integrated into the tray - not sure if it is welded though, so may come off by unfastening the 8 fixing bolts. tom2021 (42 • Saturday, 6 December 2025 )
