1984 Honda City R + Motocompo | Award-Winning | Fully Restored

Up for sale is my 1984 Honda City R, complete with the matching Motocompo folding scooter – a super rare and iconic JDM combo. + Also have discontinued black and silver plates

I personally restored this car with the goal of, a caffeine and classics sunday car show car, It has since gone on to win an award at the Ellerslie Concours, thats level of detail that’s gone into it, draws crowds at any show, has only traveled 3000km since its restoration in 2020. This is the best Honda City and Motocompo in the country 100%

Originally from Japan and first registered in NZ in 1989. Car has lived in NZ most of its life and garaged all of its life.

The car has had an extensive restoration including:

• Full respray in factory-correct red with metallic
• Interior refresh with new seat centres
• Seatbelts re-webbed
• Multiple components stripped, refinished or replaced

Mechanically it’s been properly gone through:

• Cam belt, water pump, seals done, head gasket all seals inc,
• Brakes and tyres replaced
• Drives well and presents to a high standard
• rebuilt carburetor on Honda City.

The Motocompo has also been extensively restored with a few tasteful upgrades (oversized piston, chrome detailing, stainless hardware), while still keeping its original look.

Factory features Alpine period correct stereo with Type R speakers front and rear, also true working air conditioning, rev counter, and the cool in-dash drinks cooler. Comes with handbook, and key.
