2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Dm Elite

We’ve loved owning this Santa Fe! It’s been a comfortable, reliable family vehicle and always drove really nicely.

We purchased it from GWD Invercargill in May 2021 with approx 230,000km. Since then we’ve added around 60,000km. It ran very well up until October 2025 when the injectors failed.

Mechanical

• Currently not running
• All 4 injectors have been removed and are not included
• Vehicle cannot be started or driven
• Will need to be towed or trailered from the property
• Approx $3,500 to replace injectors (verbal quote over phone by my mechanic)
• Engine ran well prior to this and had no other known mechanical issues

Maintenance during our ownership

• Serviced approx every 10,000km
• Replaced front rotors & brake pads
• Auto transmission serviced

Known faults (being upfront)

• Air conditioning not working (leak – quoted ~$2,500)
• Steering wheel fabric worn
• Steering wheel buttons not working
• Rims have gravel rash
• Dent in left rear roof (paint intact)
• Rear door leak (water sits behind plastic trim sometimes and drains when boot is lifted, never had water inside boot cabin)
• Previously struggled to start on very hot days (likely injector-related)
• Left front passenger door: appears someone has attempted a break-in. The lock has been removed and handle currently disconnected - I've got the handle in the boot of the car.
• Lefthand mirror plastics have been damaged.

Is this car for you?

• Great repair opportunity - was a strong runner prior to injector failure. With injectors replaced, this has the potential to be a tidy vehicle again.
• Also suitable as a project or for parts, with body and interior in very good condition for age/km.

It’s been a great car for us and we’ll be sad to see it go, but it’s time to move it on.
