Description

Excellent condition. I’m the 2nd NZ owner. Supercharged V8 edition. This is the XJR variant (late 2000) Richard Hammond of Top Gear owns and raves about. We own 6 cars, offloading 2! Will miss it a great deal but sadly get the chance to drive it. Verified speedometer. Imported ex Japan by Beachams, they regard this car as a particularly good example. All inspections welcome. Thanks

Questions & Answers

  • I know these questions maybe silly to you but are the indicators on the left or right? And takes 91 green petrol? sus3 (493) • 12:02 am, Sun, 28 Dec Hi, no problem at all. Indicators are on the left. In terms of octane rating I wouldn’t recommend petrol less than 95. roast11 (719) • Sunday, 28 December 2025
  • Good morning, has the timing chain been done yet, if so how long ago please. Thanks damev8 (51) • 5:56 am, Sun, 28 Dec Hi, I asked Beacham Jaguar about this. They believe it has been done but are going to check their service records and confirm. I’ll update upon hearing back from them. roast11 (719) • Sunday, 28 December 2025
  • Hi looks like the hood lining is on the way down at the front? Is everything operational, air con cold? Any rust specks at bottom of rear window? Any known issues. Thanks cobra5 (212) • 7:19 pm, Sun, 28 Dec Hi, I don’t think the hood lining is sagging. I think it’s just the curvature of the roof. Will double check and come back to you when back from holiday next week. Everything is operational and air con blows cold. The body is in excellent condition with no rust anywhere. Only noticeable blemish is a scuff on the lower right spoiler, as per the photo. The exhaust system also has more of a growl to it (for want of a better term), my mechanic mentioned it has been tweaked at some stage. Thanks roast11 (719) • Sunday, 28 December 2025
  • Hi. Nice car. How many keys are there for it. Thanks ejl235 (19) • 11:53 am, Mon, 29 Dec Hi, two sets roast11 (719) • Monday, 29 December 2025
  • Hi What condition are the tyres in?? Do you have any service history?? dannyw79 (34) • 4:21 pm, Mon, 29 Dec Hi, tyres are in good condition. Have some service history…several invoices are in Japanese though. roast11 (719) • Monday, 29 December 2025
  • Please no phone calls or messages requesting a buy now price. This will sell to the highest bidder. Seller comment Monday, 29 December 2025
  • What size and brand are the tyres ? Thanks kevclear (166) • 9:49 am, Tue, 30 Dec Hi, I'm not sure. Will update when back from holiday later in the week. roast11 (719) • Tuesday, 30 December 2025
  • Confirming…tyres are 255/40/18. They’re in great condition. The alloys have a bit of kerbing here and there. Seller comment Friday, 2 January 2026
  • To save people from asking these questions all the time… - no formal inspection has been carried out as yet. One buyer brought his mechanic along…he praised the car and said it was in great condition for its age. One minor issue he raised was a bit of play in the steering. He thought it might be bushes or a wheel alignment issue. - no word back from Beachams as yet re the timing chain. - I paid $22k one year ago. Previous owner paid $29995 just over two years ago. Hope this all helps. Thanks Seller comment Sunday, 4 January 2026
  • So what brand are the tyres? kevclear (166) • 10:23 pm, Sun, 4 Jan Hi, tyres are RX Motion RoadX Radial tubeless roast11 (719) • Sunday, 4 January 2026
  • Can you tell me please if the cruise control is adaptive or standard snappacatcha (212) • 4:29 pm, Mon, 5 Jan Hi, I’ve added a couple of additional photos showing cruise control…I assume the + / - , RES & SET means it’s adaptive. Thanks roast11 (719) • Monday, 5 January 2026
  • Adaptive cruise control means it senses a slower car ahead and slows down, this car is too early for this feature. cobra5 (212) • 6:55 pm, Tue, 6 Jan Ahhhh….thanks for clarifying roast11 (719) • Tuesday, 6 January 2026
  • Update from Beachams...they can't locate the job sheet for the service when the car was first imported. They assure me though the car was given a thorough service prior to it be put up for sale and are happy to provide a letter stating this. They usually replace the timing chain upon importation but can't guarantee this has been done. Due to this I can't offer any assurances either. Note this is due at approximately 150k. Thanks Seller comment Wednesday, 7 January 2026
  • I assume as it’s was from Beachams it was imported from Singapore jagsman (215) • 3:58 pm, Wed, 7 Jan Hi, no this was imported from Japan I believe. roast11 (719) • Wednesday, 7 January 2026
  • Hi there Can you please remove my bid. Have purchased All the best Regards Jason snappacatcha (212) • 12:40 pm, Thu, 8 Jan Hi, you've been outbidded, no need. Thanks roast11 (719) • Thursday, 8 January 2026
