Description
Full professional nut and bolt rebuild just completed and superbly finished in cool period correct Welsh grey on a Richards galvanised chassis. This beautiful Series 3 has undergone a full strip down and rebuild with lots of additional touches giving a really cool bespoke finish and style upgrades to this classic icon. -Showing 70, 652 (unverified) 50 kms from Rebuild -New Richards galvanised chassis. -New panels including new old stock (NOS) front outer wings, galvanised doors and door tops and new anti-burst locks. -Original 3 bearing engine, fully rebuilt, unleaded head conversion and runs beautifully. Restored and rebuilt 4 speed syncro gearbox. Ashcroft transfer box upgrade giving taller gear ratios than a standard overdrive and makes the Land Rover much more versatile on todays roads. Low range is still the same. -All running gear axle parts/ seals and brakes etc are all new along with a servo brake upgrade. New parabolic springs and new exhaust. -New electric system including new Auto Sparks loom with Alternator conversion all to original spec including hazard indicator upgrade and lighting. Heated drivers side windscreen for "fog free" driving and new glass all round. -Deluxe front seat upgrade in luxury tan leather with tan stitching and leather tan rear bench seats -Original steering wheel fully refurbished and covered in leather -New all terrain tyres on fully restored Wolf 6J steel wheels finished in classic Limestone. -Whole body taken back to bare metal and epoxy primed with 3 further coats of 2 pack Welsh grey paint to a lovely gloss finish. All panels painted individually before being fitted up and all dome rivets in correct aluminium and not painted over. -Top quality new Under Covers canvas hood in sand colour with side windows. -All galvanised cappings, window frames and original hood sticks re-galvanised as new and all other bright work and fixings re plated in zinc.
