2003 Lexus ES 300

This is my 2003 Lexus ES300 sedan. I bought this as my secondary car earlier last year, previously owned by an elderly man who kept it garaged at all times, filled with premium and meticulously looked after, the same for my ownership except for the garaging. Although I’ve always used a sun shade for the windscreen and dash protection.

The only issues this car has had was a cracked engine mount and worn bump stops in the rear suspension, which have both been replaced with brand new parts, done by Albany Toyota. As well as new spark plugs at the same time.

When I first got this car I had it tinted with the best quality tints money can buy, at ‘The Tint NZ’ at Birkenhead, $500 all round which keeps the car very cool even in direct sunlight during summer.

The car came with a tow-bar although I have never used it, just haven’t gotten around to removing it during my ownership. As expected for a car this age, it has a couple of scrapes on the front bumper etc.

If you haven’t driven one of these before they are one of the most calming, soft driving experiences you can have, the ride quality is extremely plush and soft, plenty of sound deadening in this car so there is very little noise from the road or the outside world whilst driving. Very smooth steering and smooth, yet powerful acceleration, quite surprising torque from the 3.0 V6, you’ll never need to push the gas peddle more than a couple of inches and the car is already up and at speed.

I’m sadly having to part with this car as I’m wanting to upgrade to a Lexus SUV type vehicle as my second car, for off-roading purposes and more interior room, as my main car is a Lexus ISF, so no need for me to own two sedans.

Before I had purchased this car I had inspected and driven more than 8 ES300’s/Windoms and this car was the one in the best condition by a long shot.
